The Medicine Bow National Forest contains more than 1 million acres open for year-round outdoor recreation. The portion closest to the property is referred to as the Snowy Range Area. Recreation in this portion includes hiking, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, off-highway vehicle riding, camping, and biking. Turpin Reservoir is located 56 minutes away in the Medicine Bow National Forest. Turpin Reservoir is stocked by the Wyoming Game & Fish department with Brook Trout and Splake.
