The Breath of Life
by Tory M. Watson
Everyday, 365 days a year, we are contacted by people who have a dream and a goal of owning land.
For some, this will be their first real estate purchase.
Others may have owned a home or multiple homes, and this is their first land purchase.
And we’re also contact by seasoned land owners that are looking to add to their portfolio.
And whatever category the individual may fall in, they all have a plan for the land beyond just a financial transaction.
Being out in nature and experiencing God’s craftsmanship provides nourishment to the soul.
It creates memories that last a lifetime, even generations.
It is only in recent times with the advent of the modern city and the developments of transportation, industry and technology; that a large portion of the population has become less in tune with the land.
If you were to look back in your ancestry a few generations, you’ll find that your ancestors relied on the land for a major part of their sustenance and survival.
I know for me personally and my family, when we’re out in nature we feel better. Our senses are heightened and our spirit enlightened.
There is a study out of England from the University of East Anglia where they analyzed global data involving more than 290 Million people.
What they found is that populations with higher levels of green space exposure are also more likely to report good overall health.
Those living close to nature and spending time outside was shown to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, premature death, preterm birth, stress and high blood pressure.
And that’s historical…it’s Biblical.
If we go to Genesis 2 : 5-7, it reads:
When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plan of the field had yet sprung up - for the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground, and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground - then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
We came from the land.
We are at one with the land.
That is why when you are out in nature you feel a connection.
And we encourage you to experience that more often.
Do it for yourself, do it for your family, do it for your health, do it for your well being.
Create memories that will last for decades, even generations.
And we’re here for you. Our mission is to make it as simple as possible for you to experience the benefits of owning land.
